Transferring to List College
Please note: Both 91¶¶Òõ and Columbia/Barnard have set a minimum number of credits that must be taken in residence at each institution. Due to this requirement, transfer students can expect to complete 7full-time semesters (118 credits)to graduate from the program, regardless of how many credits they have completed at another institution. Joint Program with Columbia University’s School of General Studies
Prospective students for the Joint Program with Columbia University’s School of General Studies must submit the Common Application and the List College Writing Supplement. The List College Office of Admissions distributes the complete application to Columbia’s School of General Studies, and the schools make a joint admissions decision.
Prospective students should note that if they are applying to the Joint Program with Columbia University’s School of General Studies, they may not apply to Columbia College or the School of Engineering. Students who have applied to Columbia College or the School of Engineering within the past three years are not eligible to apply to the Joint Program.
A complete application includes:
- The Common Application,Ìý
- The List College Writing Supplement,Ìý
- The $65 application fee or fee waiver,Ìý
- Test results from either the SAT or ACT. Please see ourstandardized test policy pagefor more information.
- Secondary school report, to be submitted by a high school counselor along with your high school transcript(s)
- College transcript(s)
- Recommendation forms and letters from two college professors

Interview with a member of the List College Admissions team. Interviews can be scheduled by filling out theon our website. Interviews are highly encouraged.
- Hebrew Placement Exam, which will be sent to applicants upon receiving the Common Application and the List College Writing Supplement
Applicants to the Joint Program may choose to submit the following items in addition to their complete application:
- AP or IB Exam Scores
- Up to two additional letters of recommendation
Application Deadlines and Notification Dates

- Admissions Notification Date: Mid-May
Double Degree Program with Barnard College
Prospective students for the Double Degree Program with Barnard College must submit the Common Application and the List College Writing Supplement. The List College Office of Admissions distributes complete applications to Barnard College, and the schools make a joint admissions decision. List College accepts applications exclusively via the .
A complete application includes:
